Second Day Pre-campaign District Visit by DPPW Officers before DLC Campaign

Kolkata, October 31, 2026 

On Friday (October 30, 2026), Shri Rakesh Kumar, Director, Department of Pension & Pensioners' Welfare (DPPW), Government of India and Shri Ravindra Kumar Yadav, Under Secretary, along with the designated representatives of the Finance Department of the Government of West Bengal visited various Digital Life Certificate (DLC) camp sites in West Bengal including Serampore Treasury I, Chandernagore Treasury, Hooghly-I Treasury, Kalyani Treasury and Barrackpore II Treasury. It is to be mentioned that the Department of Pension & Pensioners’ welfare, Government of India is going to conduct the fifth Nation-wide Digital Life Certificate (DLC) campaign in 2000 cities/ districts across India from November 1-30, 2026. This is the biggest-ever DLC Campaign to be undertaken. This visit was a part of the pre-campaign preparation on the same. 

The locations visited were found to be well prepared for the upcoming DLC Campaign, with adequate space, seating arrangements, drinking water facilities and other necessary infrastructure including IEC banners for DLC Campaign flags for advertisement and publicity. 

Interactions were held with representatives of the Pensioners' Associations at the Treasuries and they were requested to extend cooperation for the success of the said Campaign.

Chandernagore and Kalyani Treasuries arranged a special audio-video featuring especially composed song dedicated to the Digital Life Certificate (DLC) Campaign 5, along with photographs and a step-by-step demonstration of the DLC submission process.

Apart from earlier requests from the State Government, UIDAI, Kolkata, also requested the Chief Postmaster General, West Bengal, SLBC and CSC e-Governance Services India Limited to address Aadhaar-related issues and extend necessary support for the successful implementation of the DLC Camp.
