The Department of Justice, Ministry of Law and Justice, Government of India, is organising a Workshop on “eFiling 3.0: From Process to Practice” on 4th November 2026 (Wednesday) from 2:00 p.m. onwards at Hall No. 5, Vigyan Bhawan, Maulana Azad Road, New Delhi. The workshop is an initiative under the eCourts Mission Mode Project. It aims to familiarise Government officials with the eFiling 3.0 platform and forms part of the Department’s continued efforts to advance ease of justice through technology.

The programme will be graced by the presence of Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal, Hon’ble Minister of State (Independent Charge), Ministry of Law and Justice. The Members of the eCommittee, Supreme Court of India, are also expected to be present.

The workshop will feature technical sessions, to be conducted by the National Informatics Centre (NIC), on:

  • Functioning of eCourts: an overview of the applications and services under the eCourts Project;
  • eCourts Single Sign-On (SSO) and the eCourts Services Mobile App;
  • eFiling 3.0: features and functions, including the facilities available to Government Pleaders and Government Departments; and
  • an open discussion with participating officers.

Phase III of the eCourts Project aims at end-to-end digital and paperless courts and citizen-centric judicial eServices, and provides, inter alia, for universal adoption of eFiling across all courts. Government Ministries and Departments, together with their attached and subordinate offices, autonomous and regulatory bodies and Public Sector Undertakings, account for a substantial share of litigation. Their wider adoption of eFiling will improve efficiency and reduce reliance on physical court processes. The workshop seeks to equip designated officers with the practical knowledge required for this purpose.

The event reflects the Government of India’s commitment to a digital, paperless and citizen-centric justice delivery system and to strengthening institutional adoption of technology in the judicial process.
