As the global energy industry navigates evolving energy security priorities and the need for affordable and sustainable energy systems, India Energy Week (IEW) 2027 will offer visitors a platform to explore the technologies, ideas and partnerships shaping the future of the sector. The fifth edition of India Energy Week is scheduled for 28–31 January 2027 at the New Town Convention Centre, Kolkata. The event will bring together international energy leaders, policymakers, investors, engineers, researchers and technology innovators to examine the challenges and opportunities shaping the future of energy.

The 2027 edition, bearing the theme ‘Unlocking Innovation, Securing Energy, Shaping Tomorrow,’ will build on the event’s pre-eminent status in the global energy ecosystem by facilitating dialogue, business engagement and collaboration across the energy value chain. The event is expected to feature more than 75,000 energy professionals and 700 exhibiting companies from over 120 countries, providing a platform for collaboration across markets and technologies. Previous editions of India Energy Week have brought together senior government leaders and energy executives from major energy-producing and consuming o economies. Seventeen ministers and deputy ministers from countries including the UAE, Canada, the Netherlands, Oman, Brunei, Myanmar and Tanzania participated in IEW 2026, along with international organisations such as the International Energy Forum, BIMSTEC and the Eurasian Economic Union.

India Energy Week has grown rapidly since its debut in Bengaluru in 2023, expanding in scale, international participation and the breadth of issues addressed. At its fourth edition, held in Goa in 2026, the event brought together 6,500 conference delegates and participants from more than 120 countries.

Thematic Zones: A showcase of energy technologies shaping the future of global energy landscape

As global energy systems continue to evolve, India has emerged as a key driver of transformation across the international energy landscape. At IEW 2027, the exhibition will be organised around 14 strategically curated thematic zones, each focused on a critical segment of the energy value chain. Designed to enhance navigation and discovery, these zones will enable visitors to engage directly with leading solution providers and gain insights into breakthrough technologies and investment opportunities.

The Petrochem Zone will highlight technologies and processes powering next-generation manufacturing, including advances in petrochemicals that enable industrial diversification and sustainable materials innovation. The Sustainable Aviation Zone will showcase next-generation fuel solutions, including sustainable aviation fuels, hydrogen propulsion and efficiency technologies supporting the transition towards net-zero flight. The Digitalisation & AI Zone will unveil the provide a glimpse into how artificial intelligence, automation, data analytics and the Internet of Things are driving smarter, faster and more connected energy systems. The Hydrogen Zone will focus on innovations across production, storage and utilisation, while the Renewable Energy Zone will display solar, wind and hybrid solutions supporting India’s clean energy transformation.

The Nuclear Zone will highlight advances in nuclear technologies, including reactor design, small modular reactors and systems supporting reliable, carbon-free power. The Biofuels Zone will showcase developments in bioethanol, biodiesel and biogas, and their role in decarbonising transport, industry and rural economies. The LNG Ecosystem Zone will offer insights into the LNG value chain, from liquefaction to end use, with a focus on infrastructure, storage and emerging technologies.
