The Institute of Hotel Management Catering Technology and Applied Nutrition, Chennai is an autonomous body under Ministry of Tourism, Government of India in the year 1963. This Iconic Institute is celebrating its 62^nd year of excellence in imparting World-Class hospitality education. Various career-oriented courses offered in this Institute are 2-year Post Graduate program in M.Sc. Hospitality Administration, 3-year Degree program in B.Sc. Hospitality and Hotel Administration which is our flagship program, 1½ year Diploma course in Food Production & Patisserie, Bakery & Confectionery, and 1 ½ year Craft course in Food Production & Patisserie.

The campus placement program organized by the Institute assures 100% job placement to all the students. Various Hospitality and Tourism organizations like Leading 5star hotels, Quick service restaurants, Fine dining restaurants, Cloud kitchens, Retail sectors, Travel and Tourism companies, Facilities management companies, Digital Marketing firms, Banks, IRCTC, Supply chain industries and so on visit our campus to recruit our graduating students. This iconic Institute is governed by Board of Governors which include distinguished officials from the Ministry of Tourism, officials from State Government of Tamil Nadu and experts from Hotel industry. The Institute functions under the Chairmanship of Dr. K. Manivasan, Additional Chief Secretary to Government of Tamil Nadu – Department of Tourism, Culture and Religious Endowments.  

The admissions to the M.Sc. Hospitality Administration and B.Sc. Hospitality and Hotel Administration degree program is through a Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) and the candidates can register for the exam at https://exams.nta.nic.in/nchm-jee/.
