Monthly Review of Accounts of Union Government of India upto the month of August 2026 (FY 2026-27)

The Monthly Accounts of the Union Government of India upto the month of August, 2026 has been consolidated and reports published. The highlights are given below: -
The Government of India has received ₹13,67,709 crore (37.5% of corresponding BE 2026-27 of Total Receipts) upto August, 2026 comprising ₹8,37,921 crore Tax Revenue (Net to Centre), ₹4,54,549 crore of Non-Tax Revenue and ₹75,239 crore of Non-Debt Capital Receipts. ₹5,90,391 crore has been transferred to State Governments as Devolution of Share of Taxes by Government of India during this period which is ₹60,243 crore lower than the previous year.
Total Expenditure incurred by Government of India is ₹20,77,958 crore (38.9% of corresponding BE 2026-27), out of which ₹15,68,009 crore is on Revenue Account and ₹5,09,949 crore is on Capital Account. Out of the Total Revenue Expenditure, ₹5,14,810 crore is on account of Interest Payments and ₹1,87,037 crore is on account of Major Subsidies.
