Pending Expressway Projects

TheGovt. of India had approved a plan for constructing 1000 km of Expressways under NHDP Phase-VI at the cost of Rs. 16,680 crore on DBFOT basis. Recently,the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs hasapproved the BharatmalaPariyojana Program under which Expressway projects (Ahmedabad-Dholera, Vadodara-Mumbai, Delhi-Meerut, Kanpur-Lucknow, Chennai-Bangalore, Delhi-Amritsar-Katra& Delhi-Jaipur) of aggregate length 1837 km. are envisaged to be developed.

Out of these, 800 km Expressways is to be implemented in Phase-I of BharatmalaPariyojana for which an outlay of Rs. 40,000 croreshas been approved. In addition to the above, the Govt. had also approved one more expressway, namely, Eastern Peripheral Expressway for a length of 135 km., the construction of which is in progress.

TheEastern Peripheral Expressway and Delhi-Meerut Expressway are currently under  construction.  The details of the Contractor/Concessionaire for the projects are as under:
