The Minister of State for Road Transport and Shipping and Chemical & Fertilizers Shri Mansukh L Mandaviya in a written reply to a question in Lok Sabha today informed that in the Financial Year 2017-18, 66 National Highway projects costing around Rs 12400 Cr were sanctioned for Tamil Nadu. Along the east coast of the state between Chennai and Kanyakumari, 3 projects of  length 150 Km, costing Rs. 5470 Crore were awarded for construction,  and 4 projects of length 610 Km were awarded for Detailed Project Report (DPR) preparation .
