Shri P. S. Mishra, IRTS officer of 1982 batch takes over as Member Traffic, Railway Board
Shri Purnendu S. Mishra, Indian Railway Traffic Service (IRTS) Officer of 1982 Batch, took over as new Member Traffic (MT), Railway Board and Ex-officio Secretary to the Government of India in the afternoon of 17.07.2019.. Prior to joining this post, Shri Mishra was the General Manager (GM) of South Eastern Railway (SER) and Eastern Railway (ER).
Shri Mishra worked in various capacities viz. General Manager, (East Coast Railway, Bhubaneswar), Principal Chief Operations Manager (Western Railway, Mumbai), Advisor (Safety), Executive Director (Corporate Coordination), Railway Board, Divisional Railway Manager (South East Central Railway, Raipur) and Chief Transportation Planning Manager (South Eastern Railway). Apart from this, Shri Mishra worked as Chief Freight Transportation Manager, Chief Transportation Planning Manager & Chief Passenger Transportation Manager, both in East Coast Railway and East Central Railway.
Shri Mishra has undergone various training programmes abroad viz. Advanced Leadership Programme and Advanced Strategy Management Programme in Pittsburg, USA and Long Haul Operations in South Africa. Shri Mishra has keen interest in sports and welfare activities.
