Multi-sectoral
Development Programme (MsDP) was implemented with district as the unit of planning
during 11th Five Year Plan and 2012-13. The total minority
population of 90 Minority Concentration Districts covered under Multi-sectoral Development Programme
(MsDP) was 5,82,26,014 as per the data of Census 2001.
Gulbarga
and Bidar are two districts which were identified as Minority Concentration
Districts (MCDs) from Karnataka for implementation of MsDP during 11th
Five Year Plan. The programme has been restructured for implementation during
12th Five Year Plan. The unit area of planning has been change to
blocks/towns instead of district w.e.f. 2013-14. The following 3 blocks and 8
towns falling in 7 districts of Karnataka have been identified for
implementation of MsDP during 12th Five Year Plan:
