The Minister of Culture Smt. Chandresh Kumari Katoch has said that the 150th Birth Anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore was celebrated from 7th May, 2011 to 7th May, 2012. In a written reply in the Lok Sabha today she said, in this period financial assistance to organize cultural programmes / events was granted by the Central Government as per proposals received from State Governments. The details are at Annexure-I. A list indicating the status of proposals received from various State Governments under the Tagore Cultural Complexes Scheme is placed at Annexure-II.
