The 16th
Lok Sabha elections would be held in the 42 Parliamentary Constituencies of
West Bengal on 5 poll days, namely April 17, 24, 30, May 7 and 12, 2014.
Polling will be held at 77,241 polling stations spread across 51,174 polling station locations.
Out of the state’s total of 6,24,68,988
electors as on 20th March 2014, 18.51% are in the age
group 18–25, while women constitute 47.99%. The poll expenditure limit per
candidate for all constituencies in the state is Rs.70 lakhs.
