Railway electrification during April-October 2003
Indian Railways energized electrification of 148.07 route kilometres during the period ending October 2003 in the current financial year 2003-2004.
The energized routes were Jahanabad-Patna section (48.80 route kilometres), Lakkadkot-Dhekwad (74.87 route kilometres), Talcher Yard (2.40 route kilometres) and Phagwara-Jalandhar City (22 route kilometres).
In addition, the railways introduced commercial service on 615 route kilometres during the period.
Commercial service on electric traction included Patna-Gaya section (92 route kilometres), Udhana-Jalgaon section (306 route kilometres), Chengalpattu-Villupuram section (103 route kilometres) and Talcher-Barang-Bhubaneshwar section (114 route kilometres).
