Control Operations in Jalgaon/Ichchapur (outbreak of 28th March, 2006)

Jalgaon (outbreak of 28th March, 2006)

• 82 teams of RRTs (each having 5 members) worked for carrying out culling and clean-up operations
• 5 JCB machines and 39 vehicles for material transport were pressed into service
• Culling has been completed in 5 operational areas
• More than 2.25 lakh birds have been culled
• An amount of Rs.37,94,210/- has been paid as compensation

Ichchapur (outbreak of 28th March, 2006)

• Culling has been completed in Madhya Pradesh
• Compensation has been paid fully for the birds culled
• Clean-up and dis-infection is also nearing completion

Navapur, Maharashtra (outbreak of 18th February, 2006)

• 49 of 52 farms have been sealed
• Only 3 farms remain to be sealed viz., Mayur B, Ahek and Nachiket
• Dis-infection and sanitization work will be completed very shortly
