Elections 2004 – Lok Sabha : Key Constituency Results - Overall 5
Former Union Minister Ananth Kumar (BJP) has won the Bangalore South seat defeating M. Krishnappa (INC) by a margin of 62251 votes. Senior Congress Leader C.K. Jaffer Sharief (INC) has lost the Bangalore North seat to Dr. H. T. Sangliana (BJP) by 30458 votes. Former Information & Broadcasting Minister C.M. Ibrahim (JD(S) finished third.

In Kerala, Padmaja Venugopal (INC) has been defeated from Mukundapuram Constituency. L. Nambadan (CPM) trounced her by a margin of 117097 votes.

In Tamil Nadu, Mani Shankar Iyer (INC) has won the Mayiladuthurai seat defeating O.S. Manian (AIADMK) by 195691 votes.

In Andhra Pradesh senior TDP Leader K. Yerrannaidu has retained Srikakulam seat by a margin of 31790 votes. Former Union Minister S. Jaipal Reddy (INC) has won the Miryalaguda seat by 216907 votes. Among the prominent leaders who have won are former Chief Minister N. Janardhan Reddy (INC – margin 130571 – Visakahapatnam); former Union Minister Chinta Mohan (INC – margin 199321 – Tirupathi); senior Congress Leader G. Venkataswamy (INC – margin 263135 – Peddapalli); K. Chandrasekhar Rao (TRS – 131168 – Karimnagar) and Renuka Chowdhury (INC – margin 109326 – Khammam).

Among the prominent losers are Union Minister U.V. Krishnam Raju (BJP – margin 60956 – Narsapur); B.B. Ramaiah (TDP – margin 122000 – Eluru); U. Venkateswarulu (TDP – margin 77807 – Tenali); noted film producer D. Rama Naidu (TDP – margin 98014 – Bapatla); Union Minister Bandaru Dattatreya (BJP – margin 69069 – Secunderabad ) Union Minister C.H. Vidyasagar Rao (BJP – margin 131168 – Karimnagar) and Andhra Pradesh BJP President N. Indrasena Reddy (BJP – margin 56151 – Nalgonda).

Delkar Mohanbhai Sanjibhai (BNP) has won the Dadra & Nagar Haveli (ST) seat defeating his nearest rival Gavli Sitaram (INC) by a margin of 12897 votes.
