Advanced Computing System
efence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has installed High Performance Computing (HPC) System for its strategic applications. The present computing system has a peak performance of 40 teraflops and the upcoming system is targeted to have a capacity of 300 teraflops.
The major applications of the HPC system include Computational Fluid Dynamics, Composite Material Design, Finite Element Modeling, Smart Materials, Cryptanalysis and also to solve complex mathematical problems.
The 300 teraflops of HPC system is likely to be operational by end of 2013.
