Out of four Power Projects in Chhattisgarh, one project, namely, Korba
West Extension Thermal Power Project (1x500 MW) has already achieved full load
on 22
Out of four Power Projects
in Chhattisgarh, one project, namely, Korba West Extension Thermal Power Project (1x500 MW) has
already achieved full load on 22.03.2013 and Commercial Operation (COD) is
anticipated in June, 2013. Marwa Thermal Power
Project (2x500 MW) is under construction and the first Unit (500 MW) of Marwa Thermal Power Station is expected to be commissioned
in August,2013 and the second unit (500 MW) in
December, 2013. The work on the two other thermal power projects, namely, 2x660
MW Bhaiyathan thermal power project & 2x660 MW
IFFCO – Chhattisgarh TPP power project are yet to be
started. The reasons for delay are as follows:

allotted to the project.

The project is delayed due to delay in getting
stage-II clearance from MOEF for development of Tara Captive Coal Block.
