Shri
Piyush Goyal, Union Minister of State (IC) for Power, Coal, New and Renewable
Energy, visited
Indira Gandhi Super Thermal Power Project (IGSTPP-3x500 MW), Jhajjar, Haryana
today. Shri Goyal was accompanied with Shri OP Dhankar, Minister for
Agriculture, Govt. of Haryana, Shri AK Jha, CMD, NTPC and Shri UP Pani,
Director(HR), NTPC. The dignitaries were welcomed by Shri SK Sinha, CEO,
Aravali Power Company Pvt. Ltd. and senior IGSTPP officials.
During his visit,
Shri Goyal inspected the power plant and reviewed its activities and
performance. Addressing the media persons Shri Goyal stated that the Control
Room, the Heart of the Power Plant is very impressive and he was particularly
happy at the enthusiasm of the Team and the innovative work being developed for
use in other Stations also. The dignitaries also planted saplings near the power
plant.
