Completion of railway
projects depend upon factors such as land acquisition, forest and wildlife
clearance, shifting of services, construction of road over bridges and road
under bridges by State Authorities, modification to power line crossings etc.,
apart from availability of funds. As many of these factors are not within the
control of Railways, timeline for completion of these projects are not fixed.
However, in order to expedite the
execution of the project, various steps have been taken to generate extra
budgetary resources through institutional funding, state participation, public
private partnership etc. For early completion of these projects, State
Government are pursued through regular meetings with Chief Secretary and other
concerned officials to speed up the pending cases in connection with land
acquisition and forestry and to provide additional security at work sites in
law and order affected areas.
