Funds are
released to Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) under the various schemes
being implemented, based on the demand projected, utilization certificate
furnished and norms of each scheme. Physical targets are fixed commensurate
with budgetary allocation and the achievements of previous year. Details of

KVIC has
no scheme for providing financial assistance to set up Khadi and Gramodyog
units. However, KVIC is implementing the Prime Minister’s Employment
Generation Programme (PMEGP), a scheme for setting up micro enterprises in the
