The President has accepted the resignation of Shri P.S. Ramamohan Rao as Governor of Tamil Nadu.

The President has been pleased to appoint the following as Governors:

1. Shri Surjit Singh Barnala, Governor of Andhra Pradesh, is transferred and appointed as Governor of Tamil Nadu for the remainder of his term vice Shri P.S. Ramamohan Rao.
2. Shri Sushilkumar Sambhaji Rao Shinde as Governor of Andhra Pradesh.
