Fertilisers Minister Condoles Death of V.C.Shukla

Minister for Chemicals and Fertilisers Shri Srikanta Kumar Jena has expressed grief and sorrow over the death of former Union Minister Shri Vidya Charan Shukla. In a message Shri Jena said that Shri Shukla has left behind a legacy of great dedication, distinction and dignity, Following is the text of his message

“ I am deeply saddened by the untimely demise of an outstanding Statesman Shri Vidya Charan Shukla, who was a well renowned, respected and distinguished Senior Congress Leader. He was a man of extraordinary ability, pleasing personality and was a campaigner for excellence in public life. During his long political career he held many portfolios viz. Communications, Home, Defence, Finance, Planning, Information & Broadcasting, Civil Supplies, External Affairs, Parliamentary Affairs and Water Resources. He has left behind a legacy of great dedication, distinction and dignity. He shall always remain in our thoughts and prayers. I wish to express my deep grief, heartfelt condolences and sympathies with his family on their bereavement. May his soul rest in peace.”
